Who makes it

Snoot Safe is made by John Foushee and published by Snoot, a Washington non-profit corporation. Proceeds fund rescue, care and rehoming for pets who have lost their humans.

Why it exists

Snoot Safe exists because of Bamboo, John's dog. Anyone whose animal depends on them has asked the question at some point: if I didn't come home, who would know, and how soon? Snoot Safe is John's answer to it, built for Bamboo first.

Snoot Safe is a daily check-in. Miss it and we reach you. If we can't, the people you chose are asked to step in, with your pets' care notes and, once they've proved who they are, how to get in. How it works has the details.

What we hold ourselves to

Everything on this site describes what Snoot Safe does, not what it might do one day. The security page lists only what we can stand behind, the messaging page says exactly who hears from us and why, and the front page is plain about what a check-in can and cannot notice.
